2/29/12 What a great race at Cannan Fair Speedway. Most of the 16 dirivers finsihed the 100 lap event. Chris Ciriello set fast time with a lap of 16.035. There was 6 lead changes between 6 different drivers....including Keith Joseph who lead his first ever KARS lap. When it was all said and done, Justin Strumpf brought it home first to win his 4th race of the 2012 winter season. This is how they finished.
Motor chnages are in order for next week as the teams are off to New Hampshire for some big track racing. 2/22/12 Bowman Gray Stadium did not live up to it's reputation tonight....there was no Madhouse, just good clean racing fun. Race #7 saw Justin Strumpf set fast time and lead it from green to checkered to record win #3 in the Whelen Modified series. Following Justin to the stripe was Chris Ceriello, Scott Bryant, Wayne Muffy Wildermuth, AJ Griffin, Brian Hawks, Keith Joseph, Mike House, Ryan Curran and rookie Jarrett Duncovich came home 10th. Next week the Whelen modifieds will tear it up at Cannan Fair Speedway in New Hampshire. 2/15/12 Beech Ridge was a fun track to race. It was slippery at first, but the longer we ran, the better it got. Wayne Muffy Wildemuth set fast time but had to settle for a 4th place finish. Scott Bryant had the fastest lap of the day though and ended up finishing 3rd. It Richie Davidowitz coming home with the win saying "I have to credit the new tires for the win". Finishing behind Davidowitz was Justin Strumpf, Scott Bryant, Wayne Muffy Wildermuth, Mike House, Don Caddick, Nicholas Teto, Jarrett Duncovich, Max Zachem and finishing 10th was Chris Ciriello. Next week the Whelen modifieds will be in the Madhouse of Bowman Gray Stadium. 2/8/12 Stafford Motor Speedway is a flat track, but the racing there was anything but flat. Lots of good racing throughout the field of 19 cars. Battling was fierce for positions 1 through 19. When the chekered flag fell, it was Richie Davidowitz crossing the line first. He came through the field after taking on tires just past the midway point in the 100 lap race. Point leader Justin Strumpf came home second, 3rd was William "Willy" Larkin followed by Brent Sweet, Danny "Bino" Rubino, Chris Ciriello, Scott Bryant, Keith Joseph, Mike House and 10th was Wayne "Muffy" Wildermuth. Next week the Whelen modifieds travel to Beech Ridge Speedway in Scarborough Maine.
